'The Light of Other Days' is Jim Maginn's personal photographic archive of Traditional Musicians. Maginn is from Lurgan and has lived in Belfast for 40 years.
For decades, Jim Maginn has been capturing the essence of Irish traditional music through his lens. Guided by the great Victor Sloan, Jim's passion for music and photography has resulted in a stunning archive of musicians, many of whom have since passed on.

With a focus on documentary portraiture and the 'decisive moment', Jim's photographs reveal the heart and soul of Ireland's musical heritage. His intimate portraits showcase the likes of unsung heroes and legendary figures, all united by their love of traditional music.
