Celebrate the spirit of the Fleadh at Golden Thread Gallery through visual art with free creative workshops in the Community Hub, led by the Gallery’s Engagement Team. Enjoy weeklong drop-in activities and bookable hands-on workshops exploring tradition, storytelling, and creativity for all ages from Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 August.

Translate the rhythm and tempo of traditional music onto a giant collaborative canvas in Draw and Score or capture your Fleadh memories in Share Your Story by illustrating a personalised book cover inspired by the festival’s sights and sounds.

Craft a wearable keepsake in a Clay Badge Decorating workshop, reflecting the craftsmanship of traditional instruments, or honour Belfast’s maritime heritage by designing and decorating your own nautical pennant.  

Golden Thread Gallery is Belfast’s leading contemporary visual art gallery, creating opportunities for people to experience art in their daily lives and use art as a tool for
making life better. Golden Thread is an accessible venue at 23-29 Queen Street with step-free street access. Entry to the gallery is free but some workshops may need to be pre-booked.
