Gary Hastings is recently retired as a Rector in the Church of Ireland,. He is a well known traditional fluteplayer. Originally from Belfast, Gary's musical background takes in the traditions of Fermanagh, Donegal and Antrim, and he has written and lectured widely on the Lambeg and fifing traditions associated with Orangeism. He has recorded CDs with Fr Séamus Quinn — 'Slán le hÉirne', and also with the Chieftains and Frankie Gavin. With his late wife, Caitríona, he translated the Church of Ireland Book of Common Prayer into Irish.
