About
Returning to Belfast for one night only, World of Hans Zimmer soloist Dave Marks brings his very own unique flavour of Irish traditional fusion to The Oh Yeah Centre for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann fringe 2026.
Whether performing live with Hollywood legend Hans Zimmer, recording albums with Deep Purple guitar phenom Simon Mc Bride, or working as bandleader in the genre-bending Limitless Orchestra, Marks never seems to tire in his search for exciting new sounds.
His own compositions feature a signature blend of traditional Irish instruments (fiddle, pipes, whistles and acoustic guitar) with electric guitar, electric bass, high-energy drumming, synths and much more - and having performed all over the world for more than two decades as a multi-instrumentalist, he's added African tribal rhythms, electronic beats, funk, reggae and jazz to his outrageous musical melting pot.
Featuring opening sets from some of Northern Ireland's hottest emerging trad talent, and with guest vocals joining the band for the main show, expect a night of stunning musicianship that blends Celtic sounds with Rock, Jazz, film scores, and World Music for an experience unlike any other.
