Brink! has turned a neglected Belfast city centre site into a thriving space for growing food, creating art, connecting people & showing what’s possible in our city.

Brink! is an organisation intent on demonstrating what can happen when you create a space to look at our city differently, connecting people to show what’s possible. It addresses issues of dereliction, urban food growing, and cultural engagement with a bit of mischief and fun. An oasis in the heart of Belfast city centre, you can enjoy it as a green space, a culture space as well as to participate in events & workshops. The space has several areas, from outdoor growing spaces telling the story of heritage plants on our island, to a canopy-covered area as a multi-use space for events & workshops, as well as two x twenty feet shipping containers, that are used for workshops & events.

Brink! weekend events take place at each of the solstice and equinoxes through the year, as well as hosting various music, food and arts events with partners from across the city throughout the year. Brink! workshops provide hands-on experiences across Brink! themes: We Eat, We Live, We Wear, We Power, We Waste, We Travel. These are actions everyone does on a daily basis, and their workshop partners have deep knowledge and experiences that can offer visitors the opportunity to learn new skills to address the social & climate challenges we face today – with some fun and in a unique location.
